Welcome to My Adventure!

My name is Elisa, I’m 22 years old, and I’m from France. Passionate about travel and discovery, I decided to embark on the au pair adventure in the United States in July 2024. My goal? Improve my English, fully immerse myself in a new culture, and step out of my comfort zone.

Before leaving, I saw this experience as a unique opportunity: traveling, meeting people from all over the world, and creating unforgettable memories. But once I arrived, I quickly realized that being an au pair is much more complex than what you see on social media. Between taking care of children, adapting to a host family, and sometimes dealing with loneliness, this adventure has taught me much more than I ever imagined.

This blog was born from my desire to share the real life of an au pair, without sugarcoating it. I want to help those who are considering this journey by giving them an honest perspective on the experience.
